Program on Civic Discourse

The Program on Civic Discourse provides citizens, students, and teachers with insight into foundational principles of American civics and into the practice of civil discourse. The Program features guidance and best practices for American citizenship, from engaging in difficult discussions and open debate, to understanding the rights and responsibilities inherent to the task of self-government.  We aim to promote open inquiry and civil and nonviolent discourse in the classroom, on campus, and beyond.
